North Carolina Action Needed

North Carolina Action Needed 5/6

Debate Request

Senator Clinton is committed to hearing from voters across the Tar Heel State. That’s why she accepted a North Carolina debate request. On April 21, the North Carolina debate was cancelled by Senator Obama. On April 23 he brushed off North Carolinians again saying, “It’s not clear that another debate is going to be the best use of our time.”

Tell Senator Obama that having a debate in North Carolina is important to you: –> Add Your Name To The Debate Request

One-stop Absentee Voting & Registration!

You can apply for an absentee ballot in person and vote it at the same time at the Board of Elections Office, no earlier than the 3rd Thursday before an election and not later than 1:00 p.m. on the last Saturday before an election. Call your –> County Board of Elections for other one-stop voting sites and dates they are open. You can register to vote or update your registration information when you vote at a one-stop absentee voting site.

Keep It Honest

We suggest that you check for your polling place, prior to the May 6th election day. You can do that here: –> North Carolina Polling Places. You can receive information on provisional ballots and other info here: –> North Carolina Voter Guide.  You may want to read: –> What Constitutes A Vote. If you see something that seems illegal or ‘not quite right’ in the North Carolina primary elections, you can call this number to submit a grievance: (919) 733-7173

Calls

The most readily accessible volunteer job you can do is to –> Make Phone Calls.  If you cannot afford the long distance toll charges, please contact me through this website for some help.

Contributions

Of course, she can always use your –> Contributions. Barack Obama outspent Hillary in Pennsylvania, but was not able to win that state.  Imagine what the extra money could do for her through the rest of the primaries!  They may be the deciding factor in winning.  Please donate.

Making Media and Other Contacts For Hillary

I leave it up to you whether you want to contact the –> North Carolina SuperDelegates. I think it would be worth trying. What you may want to do, that would be more helpful, is get signatures from a group of 20, 50, 100, or 200 people, and send one email. That would hold more weight.

One way you can help the campaign is to make comments on blogs, write editorials, or call radio & TV stations with your news and comments for Hillary.  You can find a large list of media contacts here:
–> Hillary’s Rapid Responders NC Media List

The list has each county, with the county newspaper link (click on the name).  If you click on the A next to each, you will be taken to the contact info, including address for that paper.  If you click on the C next to each, you will be taken to all the media contacts for that county.
