The nice thing about actual votes with actual meaning is that, when they are public votes at least, they let you know straight up who stood for against something. Let's take just one example: today's Senate vote on the bill giving immunity to telecommunications companies who participated in illegal surveillance of U.S. citizens. I do not like the result of this vote, not one bit, but at least a vote was held and I can act accordingly with regard to supporting or not supporting the politicians who voted as they did. Check out the list and decide which of these folks you'd like to support.

Speaking just for myself, if I were not maxxed out to Senator Clinton for the primary, I would be rushing here, to donate to retire her debt and show support for the most powerful progressive politician in the country.
